Author Beth Ann Scullin-Oliphant recently published her first children’s book, Briton’s Beach Adventures – Dolphins Surprise. The colorful, interactive book is ideal for children from birth to beginner reader.

Inspired by her oldest son’s adventures at the seashore, Beth Ann transformed her verbal stories and put pen to paper creating the concept of the book series. Dolphins Surprise is a delightful story of Briton’s first encounter with dolphins. The books to follow in the series further explore Briton’s personal experiences and the creatures he discovers.

“It has always been a goal of mine to be a published author. To say I have accomplished this because of my oldest son makes it that much more rewarding and special,” Beth Ann said. “I used writing as an outlet during my husband’s various deployments and trainings with the Delaware Air National Guard,” she added.

Briton’s Beach Adventures – Dolphins Surprise is available for purchase on Amazon. You may also contact Beth Ann @britonsbeachadventures on Facebook and Instagram for books, signings and readings.

Bio

A native of Philadelphia, Beth Ann grew up spending her summers at the shore. Her parents would say she was born with sand in her toes. At Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey, a teacher strongly encouraged and supported her writing ambitions. Beth Ann continued on to college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in Journalism. Following graduation, she moved to Delaware and married. Her first son Briton was born the day she was to walk for her Master’s Degree at Wilmington University. He is the original inspiration behind the book series. Briton’s curiosity and eagerness to learn is a joy to watch and is contagious. Trailing in his sandy footprints are his younger siblings Amelia and Judah.
