Do you strive to be an emerging leader in Kent County? The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Central Delaware Program (LCD) will inspire growth and help shape you as a leader in your organization and in the community!

LCD is designed to take a diverse group of future leaders in the area and educate them on the resources, services, and opportunities available in the Central Delaware region. It is an amazing program that provides future leaders with a working knowledge of the County and an extraordinary network.

This ten-month program begins in September with an opening retreat focusing on team building and leadership skills. The class will meet the first Thursday of each month, October through June, for a full day of exploring economic drivers, community awareness, and business development topics. The final day includes a program evaluation, a self evaluation and leadership training that includes goal setting, time management and much more!

“Leadership Central Delaware changed my life personally and professionally! The experiences we had, the inside-look of Kent County in all aspects, and the leadership skills I gained all helped me grow as a person, which resulted in growth for my company.” Stated Katrina Sullivan, Advertising Manager with the Delaware State News and 2014 Graduate. “The networking opportunities and friendships I made with my classmates still helps me in my professional life – three years later! I expect it to last forever. I had only been in Delaware for a little over a year when I asked if I could apply for the program. I needed to learn a lot – fast! I came out with a renewed self-confidence, better leadership skills, a zest for giving back and volunteering throughout the community, more knowledge about our surroundings than some long-time Kent Countians know, and an amazing set of people I can count on for the rest of my life.”
