What Happened To My Features?
By Ashley Sachs
“When I was younger I was considered pretty. I was approached to do some modeling and also worked for the John Powers Modeling Agency in Philadelphia traveling to schools and organizations talking about modeling and recruiting. Life went on, got a good education, began a career, married, started a family and became a caregiver to parents, in-laws and my husband. My busy life did not leave time for myself and with the need for glasses (which made applying makeup frustrating), looking good became a low priority, so I just gave up. It was a constant reminder when I saw photos of myself with family and friends how awful I looked. I said no more pictures of me. I resigned myself to the aging process and being invisible. Then life took a drastic change. I read an article on makeup tattooing and found the team at The Permanent Cosmetic Studio and Lash Lounge. After the first meeting with them I knew I would be in good hands and took the first step, eyebrows. After that there was no turning back. Next came eyeliner then eyeshadow, lips, eyelash extensions and even a custom blended foundation! I have been transformed. My family loves my new look and friends are amazed. I am now noticed and love being in photographs. I am so grateful to the girls at The Permanent Cosmetic Studio and Lash Lounge for all the encouragement and support. Take the first step and you will never look back.” – Chris Anderson
Each procedure starts with a consultation where desired looks, colors and techniques are discussed and agreed upon. We started with Chris’s eyebrows. They had almost completely faded, so we used a Brow Fusion technique in champagne to give her brows the illusion of hair-strokes while also providing a shaded backdrop to fill in the gaps. She has beautiful blue eyes so we enhanced the blue with a midnight blue liner and a blue moon eyeshadow. Chris had a blood blister on her bottom lip which looked like a dot of magic marker so we corrected that with a camouflage technique. Lastly we finalized her look with true red lips and a splash of chili in her liner (the healed version is a soft red stain). Eyelash extensions and a custom blended foundation was the icing on the cake! Chris’ entire presence is different. She’s a much happier more confident version of herself and we’re so grateful to have been able to play a part in her positive transformation!
Permanent Cosmetics is a process, even deciding to call to set up a consultation can take clients years to gather up the courage, it’s your face after all! A lot of our clients are like Chris, they come in for eyebrows and then come back for more. We also have clients who get multiple procedures in the same day. Whatever your process is, we are here for you.
