Selecting the ideal engagement ring can be somewhat daunting. However, with a little know-how, it can be a very rewarding experience. I have over 45 years in the business of helping our customers select the perfect ring. They can be confident that they are purchasing the highest quality, customized service, engraving, certifications, and special design that reflect each client’s unique style, not to mention the “Wow!” factor.
Here are the steps you need to follow to find that perfect ring. First, find a reputable jeweler, someone whom you trust. This is crucial as you sort out the various options you will be exposed to: quality, grade, size, and settings and design options.
Next is finding that distinctive ring. What drew you to her in the first place? What is her unique style? Is she all about traditional or classic design? Is she a business woman with very modern clean lines and sharp contrasts? Maybe she’s more eclectic, likes to “mix it up”. She may cherish the details from vintage designs–wanting to redesign her grandmother’s ring, perhaps using the family diamond or setting? As a jeweler, I am very passionate about helping our customers with this momentous decision.
Finally, know what to ask from the jeweler. What are they offering? Are the diamonds and precious gems certified and if so, what kind of certifications? Do they give you an appraisal with the purchase so you can have your ring properly covered by insurance? Can they make changes to the design or settings to accommodate your budget or design taste? Do they offer financing programs? Are they willing and patient to help you search for that perfect ring?
