Joy A. Barrist, Esquire, Partner
As a commercial real estate attorney, Joy Barrist guides clients through the intricacies of complex projects, from financing and acquisition to development and leasing. Her expertise spans across diverse sectors, representing clients such as banks, investors, and developers on projects ranging from local developments to international ventures. This experience in fostering successful collaborations and navigating challenging situations has equipped her well for her latest role as Chairwoman of the 2025 Delaware Heart & Stroke Ball.
Joy’s career has centered around building strong relationships and achieving shared goals. Whether securing financing for a major development or navigating complex legal agreements, collaboration and a shared vision are essential. These principles seamlessly translate to her role as Ball Chairwoman. The success of the Heart & Stroke Ball depends on the collective efforts of countless volunteers, sponsors, and community members. It’s about uniting the Delaware community to support a vital cause and make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by heart disease and stroke.
Joy is deeply committed to giving back to the community. As an attorney, she has the privilege of contributing to the growth and development of our region. Chairing the Heart & Stroke Ball allows her to channel this passion into a cause that directly impacts the health and well-being of our community members. She firmly believes in the importance of supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to improve cardiovascular health and reduce the burden of heart disease and stroke.

Dr. Alireza Daneshpajouh
Dr. Daneshpajouh joined Cardiology Physicians in October 2024. Dr. Daneshpajouh is a dedicated vascular and endovascular surgeon with extensive training and experience in complex vascular procedures. He completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Florida Atlantic University, following a rigorous General Surgery residency in Miami, Florida. Dr. Daneshpajouh obtained his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, where he also earned his master’s in biomedical sciences. He has held an Assistant Professorial position at Texas Tech University serving as faculty and clinical Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. His academic journey laid a strong foundation for his expertise in vascular surgery, focusing on intricate procedures that address a wide spectrum of vascular diseases.
Dr. Daneshpajouh has focused on improving outcomes in vascular disease treatment, particularly in peripheral arterial disease, aneurysmal disease, and cerebrovascular disease. Driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes and advancing the field through research and education, Dr. Daneshpajouh continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in vascular surgery, while maintaining a patient-centered approach in his clinical practice.

A proud Baltimore, Maryland native, Neil graduated from Villanova University with a degree in accounting. He remains a devoted Wildcats fan and holds season tickets to both Villanova basketball and Baltimore Ravens football. When he’s not advising clients, you can often find him at the Brandywine YMCA in Delaware most mornings, staying active and connecting with his community.
Above all, Neil is a family man who loves spending time with his wife, Melinda, and their three sons, Lyle, Ryan, and Jack. Whether coaching, cheering from the sidelines, or sharing family moments, he treasures every opportunity to create lasting memories. Angela Barone, DNP
Angela is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in women’s health care and menopause management at Admire Medical in Middletown, DE. She provides bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, non-hormonal symptom management, weight loss, and other services to help her patients navigate perimenopause and menopause.
With 17 years of diverse experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Angela has had the privilege of providing care across a wide range of specialties, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and everything in between. She obtained her doctoral degree in nursing practice from Wilmington University, and has worked in post-acute rehabilitation settings, long-term care facilities, and internal medicine practices. Angela has extensive experience counseling patients on healthy lifestyle changes, specializing in weight management, nutrition, and diabetes to improve long-term health outcomes and reverse or prevent metabolic disease.
Throughout her career, Angela has developed a deep passion for women’s health, particularly perimenopausal and menopausal care. Her dedication to this field is driven by her own personal experiences navigating the healthcare system during this challenging life stage, and the realization of how much more support is needed for women during this time. She is committed to empowering women with the information, support, and care they deserve as they navigate the changes of midlife. When she isn’t seeing patients, Angela can be found writing blog posts on topics related to menopause and women’s health, staying up to date on important developments in women’s healthcare and menopause research, or speaking about hormonal health at local events across Delaware.

Dr. Aesha Chaudhry
Dr. Chaudhry is a dual trained orthodontist and pediatric dentist. She attended Rosemont College on a full merit scholarship when it was an all-women’s school. Knowing that she wanted to be a dentist she accelerated her 8-year education into 6; allowing her to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine at the age of 23. She went on to complete a general practice residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center (the same hospital in which she was born). Dr. Chaudhry practiced for several years as a general dentist but knew her passion was working with children.
After getting married and moving to Brooklyn, she decided to pursue her dreams and furthered her training at Maimonides Medical Center. Shortly after completing her two-year residency in pediatric dentistry, she became board certified.
She relocated to Pennsylvania and worked in both the hospital and private practice setting until she decided to pursue advanced training in orthodontics. In 2019, fifteen years after graduating dental school and being a mom of three, she was accepted to orthodontic residency at NYU Langone. For this experience and opportunity, she is eternally grateful to her program director Dr. Larry Jerrold.
After years of practice, Dr. Chaudhry is bringing her expertise to Crystal Clear Orthodontics in Wilmington, Delaware. It’s a modern state of the art office that helps improve smiles from ages 5-85.
Her bio would not be complete if she did not thank her loving family for all their support and encouragement. Thank you so much Mom, Dad, Asif, Malaika, Aiza, and Rayaan.
