Laser Hair Removal: Fusion Light & Dark

Ready to ditch the razor this summer and say hello to smooth, hair-free skin? Our Fusion Light & Fusion Dark laser technology is designed to treat all skin tones safely and effectively! 

Fusion light is optimized for individuals with lighter skin tones, utilizing shorter wavelengths to effectively target the pigment in lighter-colored hair. Fusion Dark on the other hand, is specifically designed for individuals with darker skin tones. The longer wavelength of Fusion Dark penetrates deeper into the skin to effectively target hair follicles while minimizing the risk of burns or skin discoloration. 

Both Fusion Light and Fusion Dark have dual wavelengths that can be used on most areas of the body. This versatility allows for comprehensive hair removal tailored to individual needs. Our most popular areas include the face, back, underarms, and bikini area. 

Pre-treatment recommendations

• Avoid skin tanning for 7 days before treatment. Sunscreen is advisable before outdoor activity during daylight hours.
• Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to the treatment.
• The treatment area should be shaved approximately 24 hours prior to the procedure. 
• No waxing within 2 to 4 weeks. The hair follicle needs to be present to absorb energy from the laser.

What should I expect during laser hair removal?

The procedure begins with the cleansing of the skin then ultrasound gel is applied to the area. Eye protection will be worn the entire time the laser is fired. Laser settings are always conservative and based on skin type and UV sensitivity. Each pulse feels like a rubber band snap to the skin followed by a warming sensation. The higher the settings the more intense the sensation. However, due to the intense cooling plate and dual-wavelength technology this procedure is remarkably tolerable since treatments are effective at lower settings. Upon completion of the session, inflammation around the follicle is expected and the hair shaft may have popped out. 

Post-procedure care

• Monitor skin for any unwanted reactions.
• Sunblock should be used for 3 weeks following the treatment.
• Moisturizer may be applied after each treatment.
• Make-up may be applied immediately after facial treatment.
• During the first 2 days following treatment, care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treated area: avoid hot baths, massage, etc.
• Skin should be kept clean to avoid contamination or infection, any mechanical or thermal damage to the area must be avoided.

When will I see the results?

Patients typically experience significant hair reduction after approximately four sessions. Some may even experience a marked reduction after one treatment. The exact number of sessions required can vary based on factors such as hair density, color, and the specific area being treated. The advanced technology of Fusion systems enables quick results, often requiring fewer sessions compared to traditional laser hair removal methods. Our treatment package includes 6 laser hair sessions spanned 4 to 6 weeks apart.
