As we watch the trees glisten with their magnificent golden and auburn hues in the autumn sun, we are reminded of nature’s infinite beauty. While the days become shorter and the trees sway in the crisp autumn breeze, we find ourselves digging out our scarves and sweatshirts. Alas, fall is upon us and as we get back to our daily grind, it is imperative to get our bodies and minds into the rhythm of the new season.

Get Your ZZZs Back In Sync

After spending all those spontaneous summer days and nights at the beach or on vacation, chances are, you’ve probably threw off your sleep pattern. Developing a consistent bedtime routine and getting your full 7 to 8 hours of sleep each day; lets you be prepared to tackle the day’s stress, recharges your brain, and minimizes anxiety. It is best to program your body to sleep and wake up at the same time each day.

Set The Tone For Your Day

A healthy morning routine and a positive attitude are the keys to eliminating unneeded stress throughout the work week. It all starts with creating solid habits that you should practice each morning. In addition to good sleep, you should start the day off by drinking a full 16oz glass of water. Next, take a couple of minutes to meditate on the positive things in your life and your goals for the day. Follow with a quick morning exercise. Exercising in the morning boosts your metabolism and energy level, getting you both physically and mentally ready to take on the day. Finally, it’s important not to start the day off on an empty stomach. Eating a high-protein breakfast is essential. Self-disciplining yourself by practicing a positive and effective morning routine can set the tone for the rest of the day.

Fine-tune Your Mind & Body

The fall agenda can have us so caught up in the excitement that it can get too easy to neglect our health and well-being. Remember, life is a balancing act—dedicating a sufficient amount of attention to our self-care is just as important to giving the same attention to our other obligations. Here are a few holistic treatments that many people confuse as luxuries vs. major health benefits:

Massage – We cannot emphasize enough how beneficial getting just a 30 minute massage is to the mind and body. A massage can relieve your headache, reduce anxiety and stress, and alleviate pain. Particularly, if you have a sedentary job, we strongly recommend that you get at least a one-hour massage, once a month since sitting for long periods of time can cause increased tightness in the neck and shoulders.

European Facials – As we transition back to our busier fall routines, so do our bodies. Our biggest organ—our skin is also in transition. As the weather gets cooler, skin starts getting dry and irritated. A professional facial restores moisture and hydration and improves circulation. A key element of our signature facials in the winter includes a lymphatic massage that provides the perfect relief for those fall and winter colds. Stagnate toxins in the lymphs are flushed out, relieving sinus pressure and reducing fluid retention. Not to mention, our licensed aesthetician will analyze your skin, so you will know exactly which products to use and which ones to avoid during the winter season, to keep your skin glowing beautifully for the holidays.

Supplements – It’s important to know when our bodies are lacking certain supplements. One supplement that many of us are deficient in during the colder months is vitamin D. Vitamin D helps you absorb calcium and promotes a healthy immune system, to ward off those winter viruses. We recommend trying our Premier Research Labs Vitamin D. We also recommend taking vitamin C for added immune support. Always check with your doctor before taking any supplements. For a more thorough examination of your body’s key deficiencies, we recommend booking a Quantum Reflux Analysis (QRA) with us. Visit our website to learn more.
