February/March 2010

pam_heather_newpub_pic_jj09PUBLISHERS’ NOTE

As we enter into our February/March 2010 Issue of the Women’s Journal I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday, and that you are looking forward to warm weather and a great spring. Keep in mind that February is National Heart Health Month, as well as our month for sweethearts. A nice present for your sweetheart might be a trip to one of our wonderful Salons or Spas, some sessions with a great personal trainer, or if you really want to pump up that heart, try out some great Pilates with Forever Fit. Or another great gift could be a beautiful photo of yourself from Montgomery Ford Photography. If you are not quite that daring, you could certainly get Roy, with Royal Photography to work up a beautiful portrait for your sweetheart.

We feel very fortunate to have so many new contributors in the paper this issue, and we hope that you will appreciate all the hard work that our contributors put into their articles each issue.

As we are building the paper in each county we are learning more and more that you can never reach everyone, so if you want your own personal copy sent to your home, just send in the subscription. If you would like to pick up your copy for free, and who wouldn’t, you can find us in libraries, drugstores, fitness facilities, coffee shops, many of the Food Lion Grocery Stores, Janssen’s in Greenville, we are also in all of the Wholefood stores in Chester County, hospitals, doctor’s offices, and beauty and nail salons. And, as if that isn’t enough, we are doing home distribution in many areas throughout the county. If you have a distribution point you want us to target just call or e-mail and we will do our best to have the paper in the area by next issue.

Keep warm, and think sunshine. I would like to extend a special thank you to our many readers, and as always many thanks to our contributors.

Pamela Rizzo & Heather Shafer, Publishers

On The Cover:

This issue our beautiful cover was shot on location at the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, MD. What an unbelievable location to have a wedding reception, or for that matter any type of event. We decided this issue that instead of doing our “Women In Profile” that we would actually profile the different preferred vendors that we had asked to be part of our first Bridal edition of the Women’s Journal. They were our top picks, and we hope that you will enjoy the education that they each have tried to provide you in planning your Big Day. All photos were shot on location by Roy McDowell of Royal Photography Studio, and as usual Roy has totally out done himself.
