I have struggled with managing pain since being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also struggled with the costs associated with all of the medicines doctors would routinely prescribe me because unfortunately, my health insurance company is not as understanding. I find it more affordable to buy generic drugs online. This site did provide a lot of good information so I will be back to visit again!

For over 5 years, I have been going to MDI for my mammograms because I love the customer service that is extended and the friendly astrosphere. It is a bonus to know first hand the patient care and concern that the doctors have for their customers. Last Tuesday I had my bi-yearly mammogram and because of the state of art equipment used, several masses were detected that was not there 6 months ago. Again, because of the top notch care and concern, I returned to MDI on Thursday with more testing. After testing, I met with Dr. Mahendra Parikh to discuss the findings. What a wonderful experience meeting with him. Not only did he explain the results in great details, he also showed me films from previous examines so that I could clearly understand his concerns. He was very comforting and showed concern. My surgeon was notified and within 2 days of the finding. I met with her and I am scheduled for a biopsy on Thursday, all within one week’s time. I am thankful for the digital equipment and the great care and concern that the MDI family extends. I highly recommend MDI.

Enjoyed your excellent article. Two thoughts: 1)prevalence may be much higher than the oft quoted 8-12 million as that is based on three studies and focuses on general and primary care populations. Our estimate is 16-22 million and is based on almost 200 studies that include those as well as high risk populations including diabetics, kidney disease and those ages 65 and older. 2)amputation statistics are terrible and might be included in a future article.
