There Was a Pastor, a Boss, a Goblin and a Turkey…

There Was a Pastor, a Boss, a Goblin and a Turkey… betcha thought I was about to tell you a joke? Sorry, no joking around today, but I do have something to tell you. Did you know that National Clergy Day is always the second Sunday in October? Did you even know there was such a day to celebrate the leaders of our churches? Well, there is, and, this year it is on October 9th. Pastor Appreciation Day allows an excellent opportunity for church members to show all the love and appreciation we have for the person who leads us in our spiritual lives. I know I always make a point of shaking my pastor’s hand and thanking him each week, but doesn’t everyone do that? Whether we do, or we don’t, wouldn’t it be sweet to brighten our pastor’s day?

Did you know that FruitFlowers™ started in 1984? That is 27 years ago! Twenty-seven years ago…that is a loooong time! It is amazing news in today’s economy. It is also astounding news to hear of the longevity of this company because it started as a family owned business by two sisters-in-law, Susan Ellman and Ellen Davis. If you have ever worked with family, especially in-laws, you know how rough that could be!! Ellman and Davis created the floral fruit bouquet as an exciting way to send fresh fruit 27 long years ago as Incredible Edible Delites now known as FruitFlowers™.
