‘Tis The Season For Safe Driving

It’s easy to get caught up in the magic of holidays in Delaware. Everyone seems to be in a better mood, and all of the hustle and bustle – including shopping, parties, and visiting with loved ones – makes the cold weather a little easier to bear. Of course, making merry has its price, as travel can be especially dangerous during this time of year.

Don’t Become A Statistic This Winter

With the holiday season upon us, it’s important to keep focused on healthy eating habits despite the multitude of temptations. Adhering to a healthy diet can be especially tricky at this time of year. Holiday festivities traditionally revolve around food and the pressure to overindulge can be a real issue for those watching the scale.

Fight Fall Fatigue

When I was a kid, if I was ever feeling grumpy, my dad would lift me up, flip me upside down, and say “here’s a new perspective on life.” Without fail, by the time he placed me back on my feet, I always had a smile on my face. I still get this feeling of euphoria when I become grounded after an inversion. Except now my inversions come in the form of yoga postures. Perhaps it was the “new perspective” I was shown as a child that drew me to Aerial Yoga. As a young adult I thought it was all about the perspective, but as I came to study Aerial Yoga, I realized that the benefits of being turned upside down extend far beyond just having a new perspective.

Can One-of-a-kind Jewelry Be For Everyone?

Perhaps it is that all important engagement ring, or a tiny ruby encrusted heart pendant, or even (these days) an amazing sterling silver cuff bracelet that you treated yourself to after a big job promotion.

Fashionable Gifts for $10 or Less

I wanted to take a second to thank everyone who voted for LuLu’s for Philly’s Hottest Accessory shop. We won again, second year in a row, but for me the real victory is that it is an award from the people. Not the critics, not the people who we advertise with. Honest to goodness, everyday shoppers, who make LuLu the experience that it is. Herelulu_scarf_on11 is a quick guide for the Fashionista on your list, great ideas for your college aged glam girl, your Facebook obsessed best friend, or your favorite teacher.

Harmony: The Only True Way

That was a simple little statement in my last article for the Woman’s Journal. The understanding of that statement is the key to the door that opens into the room where trust is created. Trust is fundamental to the exceptional relationship between horse and rider. For good or bad, that relationship will be the most important aspect of your life while you are sitting upon the beast. Harmony is what allows you to communicate clearly with your horse.

Second Opinions Can = Babies

For many couples, the inability to conceive is one of life’s most frustrating and disappointing experiences. Often, a woman seeks the care and guidance of her gynecologist for an initial work-up. Important testing often includes blood tests, an ultrasound, an X-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes, and a test of the partner’s sperm.
