Tis the holiday season once again and Downtown Wilmington is dressed the part for the month of December. Wilmington Renaissance Corporation (WRC) and its partners have worked together to enhance the festive feel of downtown, bring more holiday cheer to Market Street and make shopping easier.

FoodEase is family owned and operated by Cathy Hagan and Camie Bailey, former owners of Super Suppers Wilmington. After five years operating as franchisees with Super Suppers, we discovered our customers would prefer us to assemble their meals instead of the original Super Suppers model of, “make your own.” With that said, we are excited to announce our official changeover to FoodEase.

Press Release: More than 400 people gathered in the Sanford Sports Center recently to take part in The Incredible Back-to-School Wig Out, a fundraiser designed to support philanthropic efforts in our community. Christian Studio and hosted by Sanford, the event raised money and hair for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, which uses donated hair to create and provide hairpieces to children with medically related hair loss.

This is one Destination Spa you definitely want to experience. Please note that this Spa caters to both men and women. Knowing that, I convinced my husband to join me. We both were pleasantly surprised to find that we were not the only couples there. This location was a wonderful respite from the city, the kids, work and all else that occupies your mind. Upon arrival, I knew this was going to be a wonderful experience.

Did you know that National Clergy Day is always the second Sunday in October? Did you even know there was such a day to celebrate the leaders of our churches? Well, there is, and, this year it is on October 9th. Pastor Appreciation Day allows an excellent opportunity for church members to show all the love and appreciation we have for the person who leads us in our spiritual lives. I know I always make a point of shaking my pastor’s hand and thanking him each week, but doesn’t everyone do that? Whether we do, or we don’t, wouldn’t it be sweet to brighten our pastor’s day?
