The Harmonettes are always looking for women of all ages, from 13 to 99, who love to sing. The chorus sings four-part barbershop harmony and enjoys singing at a variety of venues in Kent and Sussex Counties. Rehearsals are held from 6:45 to 9:00 PM at 101 S. The Grand is presenting the award-winning children’s show that is coming to the stage in soulful style: Choo Choo Soul, playing Feb 14th at 1pm ($22 – $32). Also, on April 2nd, at 7pm The Grand will present Sleeping Beauty, performed by the excelled Moscow Festival Ballet ($28 – $35). These programs are made possible, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

The summer temps are cooling down as fall heats up in Wilmington. In the midst of the many arts and culture seasons opening in the fall, Wilmington Renaissance Corporation (WRC) and its partners, The Grand Opera House and Delaware Historical Society (DHS), will once again present the Downtown Fall Fest on Saturday, Nov. 7.
