According to the Census Bureau, the population of never-marrieds exceeded the number of marrieds for the first time in a century. The percentage of marrieds fell from 57 percent in 2000, to 52 percent in 2009 (the lowest percentage since the government began collecting data 100 years ago).

I sincerely hope that everyone is feeling refreshed and hopeful in the coming year. We certainly are at Anastasia’s Bridal. Spring 2012 gowns, bridesmaid dresses and MOB gowns are coming in and floral accents continue to be strong in all of these areas. We are seeing other trends for spring that we would to highlight.

Belak Flowers keeps abreast of the top trends in color and design, but also maintains traditional values of service and quality. In 2011 Belak Flowers created 78 weddings in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. 395 bouquets, and 525 centerpieces were custom designed. The most popular color for bridesmaid’s gowns for 2011 was dark blue. Barb still designs all bouquets.
