My Clients Tell All

The top two questions people ask me are,
“Can I be hypnotized?” and “Does hypnosis really work?”.
Instead of me answering these questions let three of my clients—-Robert, Tracy, and Karen, offer their answers. As you read what they have to share about their experience consider how you may be in a similar situation.
I met Beth at a wellness event for individuals with multiple sclerosis. Her calming presence and reassuring manner drew me in immediately. I knew right away that she had a special talent that would be helpful to me. I kept her business card and promised myself I would call.
That took almost a year, while I tried to address some of my chronic pain problems with medicine. Relief was temporary and I called Beth after another frustrating visit with my physician.
Beth has not made the pain go away –
but she has helped me learn to manage it more effectively.
Using the principles and routines of 7th Path self-hypnosis, I have a better “handle” on dealing with the day to day challenges of MS. Beth uses a holistic approach that is unique because she incorporates her training and experience as a nurse, a specialist in individual and family studies, and hypnosis. As a result, she has helped me address a variety of factors that contribute to my discomfort.
I often tell Beth “you’ve got it” because she teaches me ways to cross the ice in such a gentle manner that no cracks appear! That is how I would spell pain relief. ~ Robert, 04/28/2011
Tracy was smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for years before using hypnosis. She had tried everything else without success.
How has Beth helped change my life forever?
Beth helped me quit smoking with hypnosis! Beth helped me dig deep within myself to rid myself of the things that were making me use the distracter in my life—-cigarettes! I have been smoke
free for 41 days now and I feel great! I have so much more energy now and am very healthy! I can run and not be out of breath now! I just went back to school to further my education and I believe the decision came from feeling great about my life as I made peace in my life with the help of Beth and hypnosis! I have a clear head and heart for the first time in a very long time and words can’t really explain how full of life I feel now! Not only has Beth helped me with my addiction she has helped me by helping me think through some very important decisions in my life like “is the school I have chosen a credited school?” Beth is a friend to me as well. I can’t say enough great things about hypnosis! I recommend hypnosis to everyone, not only for addictions but for therapy, too! Thank you Beth! ~ Tracy Pfusch, April, 2011
Take a few minutes and read Karen’s experience
working on dealing with the stress in her life.
The work she did made a profound difference in her life.
For fifteen years (ever since my mother passed away), I’d been struggling with periodic bouts of depression. I’d been to several psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and had even worked with a life coach, but nothing seemed to have a real, lasting impact. I had to try something new, and hypnotherapy seemed a good alternative.
I conducted my research through the internet, and reached out to several local hypnotherapists who appeared to have strong reputations and a lengthy history of practicing hypnosis. When Beth Keil returned my call, I felt an immediate connection. I could literally hear the positive energy in her voice over the phone, and sensed she was someone who I could trust (it helped that Beth began her career as a registered nurse as this added to my perception of her credibility).
At my first hypnotherapy session, Beth spent time educating me about hypnotherapy in general. She had me envision what life could be like if I were able to get my stress under control. Sadly, I found it difficult; I had given up dreaming a long time before I showed up at Beth’s door. Still, with Beth’s encouragement, even in that initial session, I began to see just the slightest glimmer of hope. When Beth took me into a hypnotic state later that session, I was a little surprised that it “worked”. In short, I was hooked.
After six sessions (I added one more session due to the excellent progress I had seen in sessions 1-5) I felt I had achieved my initial goals, and simply needed to spend time putting my new-found skills into action. Beth helped me to re-connect with my ‘authentic self’ and I was energized at the prospect of exploring the associated possibilities.
So, have I eliminated stress from my life? Of course not.
But I now feel equipped to respond to stressors in a positive way.
I remind myself I have the power to choose how I react. It’s not always easy, but I’m working to unlearn decades of habitual responses, so I know it will take time. The important thing is I now feel I have the tools I need to make the right choices. And I gained this ability in only six short hypnotherapy sessions, as compared with years of traditional counseling. For the first time in years, I have a renewed sense of hope and possibility. It reminds me a little of my college years, when I believed that anything was possible. The best benefit of all? I’m dreaming again. Thank you, Beth, for helping me to win back my life! ~ Karen T., April, 2011
