What is Thermage?
Thermage is a safe, clinically proven way to tighten and contour the skin through the stimulation of your own collagen as well as stimulating new collagen growth.  Improvements can be visible immediately on some individuals and continue up to six months after treatment.  Thermage can be performed on the face, neck, arms, legs and abdomen.  Most people need only one treatment and the results can last for years.  An ideal candidate is a person with minimal to moderate loose skin and someone who does not want the potential risks or downtime associated with surgery as well as has the patience to wait to see the full benefits of Thermage.  There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities after Thermage.

What is filler?
Dermal fillers are popular products used to treat folds and creases on the face caused by the loss of volume and hallowing around the eyes as well as used to plump and smooth the shape of the lips.  As we age, it’s like slowly deflating a balloon, leaving wrinkles, creases and folds.  Fillers are a non-invasive way to address the loss of volume, filling the void under the skin and erasing creases.  At Nouveau Medispa, the filler we use is called Restylane and Perlane.  Both are fillers made from hyalaronic acid gel which is a natural substance found in the skin.  Perlane is similar to Restylane but it contains a larger concentration of hyalaronic acid and for this reason Perlane is often used for larger and deeper folds while Restylane is better suited for smaller wrinkles or to smooth the lip area.  Restylane and Perlane are commonly used to improve the folds between the nose and lips (“parenthesis”), turn up the corners of the mouth, add volume to the cheeks and dramatically improve the hallowing under the eye area.  Fillers can also be used between the brow to improve lines as well as improve the jowl area.  Results of Restylane and Perlane are immediate and actually improve over the first two weeks.  The longevity of results varies and range from 6 – 12 months and depends on the area treated.  There is no downtime but you can have bruising and swelling after injection.
