Landing the right position at the right time isn’t about luck…In these highly competitive times, you need the best information about how to put the job search process to work for you. You need to know the top strategies for finding opportunities, the best techniques for writing your resume, and how to impress an interviewer.

The University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies is presenting a free program that will provide job seekers this information, and more. On Tuesday, June 29 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. any member of the community can attend the Career Transitioning Program at the UD Downtown Center at 8th and King Streets in Wilmington.  There is no charge for the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Participants will hear presentations on crucial topics like maximizing the use of search engines to find job opportunities, job search etiquette, creating an outstanding resume, interviewing techniques, networking skills, differentiating oneself from the crowd, and managing the stress of the job search. There will be ample opportunity for individuals to get their specific questions answered as well.

For this event, the University of Delaware has gathered a group of experts to address the critical issues faced by job seekers. Among the presenters will be human resource managers for regional employers, human resource consultants, experts in the career transition process, as well as University of Delaware career advisement professionals.
