Thinking about Hiring a Personal Trainer?

Who has started an exercise program and did too much too soon? This usually results in feeling very sore afterwards and unable to complete your daily functions well or possible injury. Maybe you have a special condition and don’t know where to start or how to progress. Many of our clients have run in to these (or similar) scenarios prior to joining our training program. Exercise programs should be designed to improve your function and quality of life. Seeking the advice of a health and fitness professional will help minimize injury while realizing your goals.
So you are now thinking about hiring a Personal Trainer……..Great! More people are taking action and hiring their own Personal Trainer. Because of the recent health and fitness boom, Personal Training has become a popular profession……So how do you choose? Personal Trainers have a very crucial roll in determining what happens to your body. We can help your body become more balanced, efficient, and functional or we could potentially cause injury if exercise programs are designed improperly. The first step to choosing a personal trainer is to make sure they are educated with a degree in the field of exercise science. Second, he/she should be nationally certified as a Personal
Trainer (two of the top certifying organizations are NSCA and ACSM). He/She should also have an Adult CPR certification. Ask to see that these certifications are current. We are required to take a certain number of continuing education credits in order to maintain our certifications. You should expect the same qualities you require of any professional service provider such as your physician, dentist, or therapist.
The cost of hiring a personal trainer can seem a little daunting at first. However, when compared with the overwhelming healthcare costs it is a minimal investment. As the leading personal training company serving most of the tri-state area since 1997, Tone & Condition, Inc. has been educating a wide variety of clients with fitness assessment and goals, nutritional and weight control guidance, lifestyle management advice, and designing customized exercise programs based on each client’s needs and conditions. We have seen our client’s mental, physical, and emotional health improve leaps and bounds (and be maintained). After much demand, we have designed and produced a line of personal training DVD’s. Complement your own workout with one of ours! Available on www.SmartexFitness.com.
