Are you planning a wedding this year? There are many dessert options to consider for your reception. Couples can choose traditional wedding cakes, family favorite desserts or cupcakes.

Traditional wedding cakes are appealing to the eye and look beautiful in the wedding pictures. There are many designs available but flavor choices are limited to the number of layers and tiers. Unfortunately, traditional wedding cakes must be baked days ahead of time in order for the decorators to work their magic. The result is a cake which tends to be dry and less flavorful. Many reception facilities charge a cake cutting and serving fee in addition the cost of the cake. These fees are sometimes hidden along with other charges and can significantly affect a budget.

Favorite family desserts are popular with smaller, less formal receptions often held in a home or smaller facility. Since these are home-made desserts, typically no fees apply but it requires a couple to ask family or guests to bring the dessert to the reception. Cupcake wedding tiers can be very formal or very casual. Cupcake Heaven will work with the couple to match the icing colors with the color of the bridesmaids gowns or flowers and can match the theme of the wedding also.
