Why Men & Women Are the Way They Are . . . And What to Do About It

For many thousands of years, what it took to survive as a society required risking survival as individuals—whether women in childbirth, or men in war and hazardous jobs. Thus our genetic heritage has left both sexes differently damaged: men calling it “glory” to die; and women calling it “love” to “marry up.” Simultaneously, the division of labor created a division of interest and trust between the sexes, leaving both sexes feeling, “you can’t live with ‘em, and you can’t live without ‘em.”

Comfort Zone Center For Whole Self Healing is pleased to host Dr. Warren Farrell, an American author of seven books on women and men’s issues, on March 12th – March 15th for a dynamic workshop from his Best Seller “Why Men And Women Are The Way They Are” as seen on Oprah’s Book Club.

In the seventies and eighties, Farrell developed his trademark role reversal audience-participation exercises designed to get the sexes to “walk a mile in the others’ moccasins.” Best-known were his “men’s beauty contest,” in which every man was invited to participate in “the beauty contest of everyday life that no woman can escape;” and the “role reversal date” in which every woman was encouraged to “risk a few of the 150 risks of rejection men typically experience between eye contact and intercourse.” In this workshop, dynamic role-reversal experiences will allow both sexes to replace frustration with compassion (most of the time!).

Dr. Warren Farrell will partner with Sierra Bender for a powerful weekend as the two blend their philosophies and talents on the issues facing men and women today. They will incorporate healing techniques used for thousands of years in an effort to support both sexes.

You will learn that love is not just an emotion . . . it is the most powerful force on the planet and there is responsibility to ourselves and others behind this love. There is action behind love. Neither party needs to be a victim of their life or relationship but instead participate in what you desire, require and deserve.
