Some will adhere to regularly scheduled itineraries and on-shore excursions may be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. - Caribbean holiday culture – Many islands in the Caribbean celebrate Christmas and New Year’s week with extravagant festivals where visitors experience authentic island culture. For example, the island of St. Kitts’ annual national Carnival occurring from December 18th through January 2nd.
