Every week we work with outstanding professional women, and with this issue we have decided to do our part in spotlighting some of these fascinating women. On the front cover are just a few of the many women that we have met, and on the inside you will find short profiles on each of these women. In the future months we will be doing more profiling of women from different walks of life.

Devon Tucker, owner of Covet Spa, has over 17 years experience in the esthetics and nail care industries, and holds a masters certification in esthetics. She created and marketed her own private label skin care line, and has created looks for Main Line Today and Delaware Today magazines. Devon has helped over 650 clients and had the opportunity to work in the most affluent areas of the Main Line and the Hamptons.
Devon has also received her degree in Information Technology in Business, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Immaculata University in 2003. After fourteen years in the corporate world, Devon opened the Covet Spa with the busy person in mind – you – and her desire to offer a completely personalized experience in a place to be removed from stress and pampered into a healthier approach to life.

Dr. Susan Kirchdoerffer is a family physician originally from Northern New Jersey. After completing her residency in the Lehigh Valley, she relocated to Wilmington, Delaware. Since moving to Wilmington, she has a successful family medical practice that she started nine years ago. She will be named in October’s Delaware Today as one of the “Top Docs”. She also sits on the advisory board of Bayada Nurses and is a board member of the Delaware State Osteopathic Medical Society. In 2006, she opened her second business, Reflections, A Medical Spa. Reflections is a full service medical spa that provides services from Botox Cosmetic to laser hair removal. Dr. Kirchdoerffer got into skin care to help her patients take better care of their skin and improve their self esteem. Dr. Kirchdoerffer stated, “It’s nice for once to give patients good news or tell them they look great instead of delivering news they may not want to hear. While in the family practice my vocabulary consists of hypertension, arthritis, or cancer, in the spa I get to say, fabulous, beautiful, or stunning. It gives me a great balance in my life.”
Rebecca DePorte

Rebecca is senior vice president of Personal Financial Services at Wilmington Trust, Delaware’s leading retail and commercial bank. In her role, Rebecca oversees Wilmington Trust’s 48 branch office locations in Delaware, as well as teams of sales and marketing professionals focused on a full-range of deposit and loan products including: checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, money market accounts, IRAs, debit cards, health savings accounts, mortgages and home equity loans, credit cards, personal loans and lines of credit for consumers and businesses.
Rebecca has been involved in the banking industry since 1990 and has held senior level positions with ING Direct, Bank One, and Citibank. She also managed product development at First USA Bank, where she secured a patent for developing the industry’s first Visa® stored-value gift and allowance card. Prior to working in financial services, Rebecca worked at the Strategic Planning Institute, providing consulting services to Fortune 500 companies.
Rebecca holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. She is an active participant in the local community as a board member of the Greater Metropolitan Wilmington Unit Board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware and serves as co-chair of the career council for the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay. She has also served on the strategic planning and finance committees for the Girls Scouts.
In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys traveling, skiing, and working in her flower, fruit, and vegetable gardens. She is also an avid tennis player, serving as captain and player for several local teams.

Dr. Devona Williams founded Goeins-Williams Associates, Inc., (GWA) a successful performance consulting business in 1986 to “help organizations achieve greater productivity in strategic work environments.” As President/CEO of GWA, Dr. Williams has helped more than 35000 individuals in hundreds of organizations increase their effectiveness. Headquartered in Clayton, Delaware, October marks GWA’s 19th year in providing consulting services including assessments, focus groups, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation, organizational and individual development and motivational speaking. Devona is currently President of NAWBO Delaware and has been active leader in the organization since 2001.
The Denver Business Journal and the Delaware Today Magazine have recognized Williams and her business as Outstanding Woman Owned business in 2005 and 2006. She believes the most satisfying aspect of running her business is to help organizations overcome challenges by improving processes, and performance and seeing recommended changes implemented.
Devona is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of 6 children and grandmother of 4.

Greta E Colgan founded BTS Enterprises, Inc (formerly The Preferred Solution, Inc.) in 1997 in Wilmington, DE. Greta is an electronic systems integrator committed to identifying the best of computer network, audio/video, security, and environmental control technologies and shaping them into multi-dimensional, user friendly systems. Her most recent endeavor is the launch of a BTS subsidiary, ‘Beyond The Studs’. As a system integrator with 15 years experience designing and implementing mission critical systems for corporate and military clients, she has routinely met the challenge to provide technology solutions that are cost effective, reliable, and meet the unique needs of each client. Beyond The Studs was founded on the principal that purchasers of consumer electronics and small business systems, deserve no less.
Ms Colgan earned a B.S., cum laude, from Lehigh University in 1980, placing her among the first women to graduate from this formerly all male university. She began implementing computer automation systems in 1988 as an employee of Himont, Inc. She was recruited by Hewlett-Packard Company in March of 1994 and served three years as a Lead Development Engineer spearheading the development of a $5 million laboratory automation system for a Fortune 50 pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Greta resides in Wilmington, DE with her husband of 28 years, Bill. She is mother of one son, Sean. When not chasing the latest trends in technology, she is often spotted on the Delaware beaches sailing a catamaran with her husband, watching her two Labradors (Shadow and Phantom), frolic in the surf, or perched in a beach chair reading the latest best seller.
