Sweet Christine’s is happy to announce that they have signed a lease for a shop to be opened on State Street in Kennett Square. They will join the many other fine restaurants and retailers in downtown Kennett. Plans are underway for renovation of the space, and they are optimistic that they may be able to open by April, 2008. This is great news for all who have sampled and are now committed to great tasting gluten free, all natural delights. Sweet Christine’s plans to continue to produce her delicious confections to the retailers listed above and open her shop to all, especially children who must eat gluten free food.

Among those who must eliminate gluten from their diet are people who have celiac disease and those whose digestive systems cannot tolerate gluten. A celiac patient-1 in 133 Americans- cannot eat anything containing gluten. This includes wheat, oats, rye and barley and most breads, bagels, pizza and pasta. Eating delicious freshly baked cookies seems almost out of the question. But Christine Ruggio of Sweet Christine’s has found the right recipe. Her delicious treats have been praised by a certified master baker!
